Financial results of cultural institutions in period January-December 2020
In 2020 financial results of cultural institutions were lower compared to results in the same period of the previous year. Total revenues decreased by 5.3% and total costs by 5.9% but investment outlays increased by 1.2%.
Total revenues (revenues from the whole activity) of cultural institutions in 2020 were 5.3% lower than revenues generated in the previous year and amounted to 9 661.0 million PLN.
The structure of the revenues was composed of: net revenues from sales of products, goods and materials (90.6%), other operating revenues (9.3%) and financial revenues (0.1%). The highest total revenues were generated by institutions in Mazowieckie Voivodship (27.2% share).
Total costs (costs of obtaining revenues from the whole activity) in 2020 were 5.9% lower than in the previous year and amounted to 9 465.8 million PLN. The structure of these costs was composed of: operating costs (98.8%), other operating costs (1.1 %), financial costs (0.1%). As in case of total revenues, the highest total costs were incurred by units from Mazowieckie Voivodship (27.1%).
