Lublin academic centre in 2012–2024
The publication "The Lublin Academic Hub in the Years 2012–2024," prepared by the Statistical Office in Lublin, presents a comprehensive analysis of the transformations in higher education in Lublin over the last decade. This study continues previous research and illustrates the changes occurring in one of Eastern Poland’s key academic centers against the backdrop of systemic reforms, demographic trends, and crisis events such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine. The publication presents an extensive set of statistical data covering, among other things, the number and structure of higher education institutions, student populations, and academic staff; educational offerings; research and publishing activities; and internationalization processes. The analysis makes it possible to assess the research and teaching potential of the Lublin academic hub and its position within the national academic landscape. The study serves as a valuable resource for the academic community, public and local government administration, and anyone interested in the development of higher education and the role of universities in the development of the region and the country.
