Statistical Atlas of the Lublin Voivodeship. Society – Quality of Life – Space
The Statistical Office in Lublin presents the publication "Statistical Atlas of the Lubelskie Voivodship: Society – Quality of Life – Space," which uses choropleth maps, cartodiagrams, and charts to present key information about the region. The socio-economic and environmental aspects covered in the publication are vital elements of cohesion policy; presenting them graphically enables more effective monitoring of the key processes and changes occurring in the Lubelskie Voivodship. A central part of the publication focuses on demographics and the impact of socio-cultural changes on the structure, development, and lifestyle of contemporary society. These issues—viewed in conjunction with various aspects of life such as education, employment, health, housing, and our living environment—illustrate the population's standard and quality of life. The core information is presented on maps reflecting data from 2023 or the most recent year available. To illustrate changes and expand the thematic scope, selected topics are also presented in charts covering the Lubelskie Voivodship, generally showing trends since 2010. The publication follows a consistent layout, presenting each phenomenon at the *powiat* (county) or *gmina* (municipality) level via choropleth maps or cartodiagrams, alongside a voivodship-level choropleth map that illustrates regional disparities across the country. Additionally, the information is supplemented by charts depicting key processes occurring at the voivodship level. The primary data source for this publication is the public statistics system. Furthermore, data from the Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture, the Energy Regulatory Office, and the Regional Examination Board in Kraków have been utilized. In presenting this publication, I am convinced that the statistically derived graphics will serve as a valuable source of information regarding the social, economic, cultural, and environmental processes unfolding in our region and across Poland in recent years, while also facilitating the analysis and comparison of the Lubelskie Voivodeship with other regions.
