Statistical Yearbook of Dolnośląskie Voivodship 2025
The publication provides a comprehensive set of information describing the standard of living of the population and the economic situation of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The most recent data presented in this edition of the Yearbook relate to 2024. To illustrate changes over time, selected topics are presented in a multi-year perspective, with most data series covering the period since 2015.
Detailed statistical data are grouped into 21 thematic chapters. As in previous editions, the publication includes the Rural Areas Delimitation (DOW) developed by Statistics Poland (GUS). Its purpose is to ensure a consistent presentation of official statistical survey results relating to rural areas while taking into account their diversity. The appendix at the end of the publication contains a map of the Rural Areas Delimitation together with methodological notes. The Yearbook also includes two review tables presenting selected information on the voivodeship in comparison with Poland in 2024, as well as key data for the voivodeship for 2010, 2015, 2020 and 2024. The statistical material is supplemented with general notes explaining the terminology, methodology and scope of the information presented.
This edition also presents the results of the Structure of Earnings Survey, conducted every two years, which provides data on differences in average monthly gross earnings by occupation. The latest results refer to October 2024. The publication also reflects methodological developments and changes in official statistics, including those relating to healthcare and regional accounts.
The Statistical Yearbook of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship has been prepared using the results of official statistical surveys as well as data from non-statistical sources. Official statistics increasingly make use of administrative data sources, particularly in the areas of employment, healthcare personnel, pharmacies, and childcare services for children under the age of three.
