Education in the school year 2022/2023 (preliminary data)
In the 2022/23 school year, there were 22.5 thousand pre-primary establishments (0.3% more than in the 2021/22 school year) with a total of 1534.2 thousand children enrolled (respectively 4.2% more).
Pre-primary education is the first stage of education in the Polish education system. It usually covers children aged 3-6 years. Education is implemented in nursery schools, pre-primary sections in primary schools, pre-primary education units and pre-primary centres. In the 2022/23 school year, there were 22.5 thousand pre-primary establishments in Poland (0.1 thousand more than in the 2021/22 school year) with a total of 1534.2 thousand children (61.6 thousand more).
