Enterprises active in the second quarter of 2026
In the second quarter of 2026, there were 2 896 481 active enterprises in Poland. With regard to the kind of economic activity, the largest population were enterprises from section trade; repair of motor vehicles (16.5% of total). The largest number of active enterprises had their registered offices in the Mazowieckie voivodship (20.2% of total).
In the second quarter of 2026, compared to the same period in 2025, there was an increase of 1.6% in the number of active enterprises. Micro entities (i.e. with up to 9 persons em-ployed) accounted for 96.0% of all active enterprises, and compared to the second quarter of 2025, their number increased by 1.8%. Small entities (i.e. with 10 to 49 persons em-ployed), medium entities (i.e. with 50 to 249 persons employed), and large entities (i.e. with 250 or more persons employed) accounted for 3.3%, 0.6%, and 0.2% of all active en-terprises, respectively. In these three size classes, a decrease in the number of enterprises was observed compared to the second quarter of 2025: for small enterprises by 1.1%, medium-sized enterprises by 1.0% and large enterprises by 0.3%.
