Statistical atlas of Podkarpackie Voivodship
The year 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Statistics Poland. On this occasion we have prepared the publication "Statistical Atlas of Podkarpackie Voivodship". This is the first graphic publication that presents the socio-economic processes taking place in the region in such a wide range.
The publication contains statistical maps and charts showing the status and changes in time of issues related to human capital, quality of life, economy and environment by gminas or powiats, voivodships, as well as selected data for NUTS 2 regions of the European Union. It should also be emphasized that the socio-economic and environmental aspects included in the book are a very important element of the cohesion policy.
The basic scope of information is presented in the maps for 2016 or the next available year, partly in relation to 2000 or 2010. In order to illustrate changes and expand the thematic scope with additional information, selected issues have been presented in charts, mostly in retrospect since 2000.
The main source of data used in the publication are information resources of official statistics, while comparisons between EU regions are based on the Eurostat database. In addition, the data of the Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture, the Energy Regulatory Office and the Regional Examination Board in Krakow were used.
