Statistical Atlas of Podkarpackie Voivodship. Society – Quality of life – Space
The publication includes a rich collection of maps and charts illustrating key demographic issues, the impact of socio-cultural changes on the structure and lifestyle of residents, as well as aspects of education, labour, health and housing. Analysis of these data allows for a deeper understanding of social needs and challenges and their economic consequences. To meet current needs, data on Ukrainian residents residing in Poland are also included.
The data presented in the Atlas refer to 2024 or the last available year, and selected issues are presented in a multi-year perspective. The sources of information are both official resources of official statistics, including data from the National Population and Housing Census 2021, and the results of experimental research using Big Data processing methods.
By using low levels of spatial aggregation, including 2x2 km kilometre grids, the Atlas offers unique insights into processes at the regional and local levels, with a particular focus on urban and rural changes.
