Residential construction in the period of January-July 2026
In the period January–July 2026, 3.2% more dwellings were completed compared to the same period last year. The number of dwellings in which construction began also increased (by 3.3%), as well as the number of dwellings for which permits were granted or which were registered with a construction project (by 15.7%).
According to the preliminary data, 114.1 thousand dwellings were completed in the period January–July 2026, i.e. by 3.2% more than in the corresponding period of 2025. Developers completed 69.5 thousand dwellings – by 0.8% more than a year ago, whereas private investors completed – 40.2 thousand dwellings, i.e. by 4.6% more. Within these two forms of construction, 96.1% of the total number of new dwellings was completed. In other forms, 4.5 thousand dwellings were completed (3.1 thousand in the previous year).
